THE ROLE  

As a Restaurant Kitchen Dishwasher, you will be responsible for properly operating the dishwasher machine and/or hand washing dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, pans, etc. Additionally, dishwashers are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the kitchen by organizing the dishes, sweeping, disposing of trash, and working well with other crew members. 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO  

• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift  

• Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards  

• Assist other employees as needed  

• Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty  

• Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures 

• Wash dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. 

• Clean and maintain all trash bins, depositing garbage into dumpsters as needed 

• Keep floor clean, free of spills, food, trash, and other obstacles 

• Clean walk-in cooler, daily 

• Ensure proper rotation of all dishes, pots, pans, storage bins, etc. (including the lifting of these up to 80 lbs.) 

• Organize and maintain storage of all dishware 

• Ability to keep up with fast paced high volume kitchen and restaurant 

• Comply with applicable Health Codes by ensuring that all eating/cooking utensils are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly

Required: 

• Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa

• Punctual attendance with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

• Ability to operate industrial dishwashing machines and garbage compactor/disposal 

• Organizational skills 

Preferred: 

• High School diploma or equivalent 

• Prior experience 

• State issued Food Handler Certification 

Physical Demands/Working Environment: 

• Willing to commute to downtown area (discounted $7 parking available daily)
