Role Summary Purpose:
The Maintenance Supervisor Oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. The successful candidate will execute planned maintenance tasks, enhance equipment reliability, extend tool longevity, and respond promptly to reported machine, facility, and equipment issues. Your expertise will be instrumental in minimizing downtime, maximizing efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
You will be required to engage other support teams with clear problem statements and initiate the communication that drives the open task to completion.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide technical, quality, and production leadership to assigned teams to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors to plan and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas for improvement in planned maintenance processes.
- Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses.
- Gather data and report out on metrics on the areas you are responsible for
- Direct the activities of a union hourly team within the maintenance organization and participate in team activities to meet identified goals.
- Perform administrative duties to support the business, including timecards, labor vouchers, self-audits, absence reviews, and missing time corrections, etc.
- Achieve and maintain a minimal Response Time to Machine Issues by promptly addressing reported problems.
- Assist Facilities Management group Leader in coaching and counseling employees regarding individual performance and development needs.
- Practice sound human relations and communications skills to motivate the assigned work force.
- Assist the employee engagement and leadership teams with resources during events or large employee gatherings.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce response times and enhance machine reliability.
- Focus on achieving and surpassing EHS goals for establishing a safe and sustainable approach to facility and maintenance task. Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
