Business Analyst SCM

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

NAM SCM finance is responsible for financial controlling and cost management and provides tailored key performance indicators to our critical Supply Chain business operations. As a business partner we enable fact-based decision making, best practice sharing and continuous process improvement by creating transparency on impact and dependencies of core cost and service drivers. We derive corresponding solution through application of state-of-the-art analytical tools and business expertise.

The Business Analyst SCM Finance supports the financial controlling (budgeting, forecasting, reporting) of expenses and also in the development, harmonization and enhancement of the existing KPI architecture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support execution of SCM strategy to improve end-to-end group performance, cost and service levels.
• Support the financial controlling of all logistic cost related to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) within North America.
• Support processes and tools that increases transparency on cost and cost drivers of the Supply Chain through cost management of the assigned budget by supporting the budget process and forecast, reporting actual costs, explaining cost deviations, and identifying savings potential as part of cost saving initiatives.
• Support cost center owners in all financial tasks (e.g. investment requests, cost recharges, etc.)
• Support business case development of Supply Chain projects and investments by challenging, identifying and ensuring quality control of the analysis.
• Support the development and continuous enhancement of balanced Key Performance Indicators, strive for transparency on business performance drivers and building sustainable “performance management culture” within the Supply Chain Organization.
• Act as a team player, embrace continuous learning & improvement and cross-functional collaboration
• Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages by defining problems by establishing the facts to help draw conclusions to present results, and recommend and solutions
