Your Role

We are seeking experienced design professionals with a passion for experimentation, innovation, and problem-solving to join our Asia Design Technology team. Your role as a Design Technology Lead is focused on promoting, implementing, and elevating our BIM and digital modeling workflows and protocols. In partnership with the Asia Regions Design Technology leadership, you will determine the strategy and roadmap for the advancement of the office’s digital design practice. 

What You Will Do 

• Lead the implementation, management, and execution of BIM/digital modeling pipeline on projects throughout all phases of the design process.

• Support and lead project model optimization and maintenance; monitor as well as report on model metrics and other analytical data throughout the life of projects.

• Partner with the Asia Regional Design Technology Leaders to identify opportunities around model management and user-experience enhancement in alignment with Regional & Firmwide Design Technology initiatives.

• Establish, communicate, and interpret changes in best practices, protocols, and other related matters.

• Oversight of BIM and technology execution planning derived from the Gensler standards framework set by the Firmwide Design Technology leadership.

• Recognize the degree and complexity of a project and develop the right design technology strategy to optimize project performance as well as support and integrate a lean project delivery framework.

• Author/Develop design solutions to address project needs through the use of various tools, scripting, and workflows.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication, transparency, and involvement throughout the duration of a project.

• Respond to design technology support requests at the studio and office levels.

• Identify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projects; align and balance design technology support with project needs and schedule to ensure timely project delivery.

• Research and develop on a continuous basis, innovative methods based on extensive experience and an understanding of current trends and techniques related to design technology. 

Your Qualifications​ 

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industry.

• 5+ years of experience in a project-specific BIM/digital design role in all phases of design and delivery.

• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture.

• Solid knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of Dynamo is preferred.

• Familiarity with design applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, 3DS Max, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, etc.

• You must have a people first mentality and be an articulate communicator with the ability to convey design technology concepts at all levels of design and delivery leadership.

• Demonstrates influential leadership; reliable, punctual, and able to adhere to deadlines with a strong work ethic.

• Creative thinker dedicated to problem-solving, research, and innovation.
