Occupational Therapist – Acute Care and Outpatient Pediatric

Full-Time | Tullahoma, TN

Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends, occasional holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for both adults and pediatric patients.

  • Provide evidence-based therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home programs.

  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee (or eligibility).

  • Strong clinical reasoning and adaptability across care environments.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises OT and OTA students after one year of experience
• Provides clinical supervision to COTA’s and technicians
• Routinely interacts with other employees, patients, families, vendors, physicians and visitors.
• Reports to Director of Rehabilitation Services

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Physical/Occupational Therapist Patient Education (Novice): Demonstrates proficiency in communicating functional impact of assessment findings, treatment interventions, treatment planning diagnosis, and disease process. Considers the communication needs/level of understanding of audience and may share appropriate information/literature. May supervise, educate and train students from professional programs of physical therapy, occupational therapy and athletic training.
