Business Lead

About the role

We're hiring our first Business Lead. "Business Lead" is an intentionally broad title and reflective of the vast nature of the role; you'll be part product manager, part business dev hero, part outbound and sales, part designer... you might even code a bit?

Your mission will be to bring a brand new product to market, from scratch. You'll research the market, conduct customer interviews and validate fit, determine pricing and monetization strategies, and build and launch the service. We'll share many more details on what we're building during our discussions, but if we're successful, it'll be the most impactful work of your career and will meaningfully advance our goal of fixing the American healthcare system.

What you'll do

• Create market maps, researching and analyzing a large space in healthcare
• Work cross-functionally with the entire Thatch squad: engineers, product managers, operations, marketing, sales, product, legal, and leadership to create something great in the world
• Talk with partners and customers, meticulously recording learnings and analyzing them to drive your decision making
• Organize a large project and report on your learnings and progress to the company and leadership team
• Develop and launch a product that meaningfully impacts the way thousands (and eventually millions) of Americans receive healthcare

Background we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience building building products as a founder, engineer, or product manager, ideally at a tech company
• A history of coming up with ideas and making them happen; we'd be particularly excited to talk with current or former founders who've built and launched software companies. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate complex topics to diverse audiences
• Experience building systems from first principles and operating successfully in an ambiguous environment with limited oversight
• Ability to enthusiastically run through walls
