Raytheon’s System Integration & Test department is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will support Radar Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) activities primarily in Tewksbury MA with local travel to Woburn MA in support of radar capability development, integration, verification, and test activities. You will be responsible for engineering activities that include hardware assembly, integration, and test for radar development events. You will work independently and side-by-side with multidisciplinary engineering team members.
What You Will Do
- Install, configure, and document electronic hardware setups installed with software builds in a HWIL facility for supporting integration and test activities.
- Being a focal point for electronic/software integration activities ranging from assembling hardware, interfacing hardware with software, configuring installed hardware/software to interface with networked systems, maintaining and developing documentation to support integration, test plans, test activities, and resolving technical inquiries.
- Participate in integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation events, performing analysis, and providing status updates and reach-back assistance to program engineers/leads.
- Execute HWIL integration activities using test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer) and navigate through electrical schematics, documentation, and drawings.
- Collaborate with program leads/stakeholders to maintain consistent test approaches, tracking configuration control, ensuring test-setup readiness, and participating in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness reviews).
- Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware.
- Strong individual assembly and integration skills, team interaction skills, and willingness to perform local and occasional non-local travel.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with basic scripting and/or software development (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Linux).
- Experience with system integration, verification, assembly, and/or testing.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- installing/debugging software, and networking/troubleshooting electronic system connections.
- Knowledge of RF, electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations on hardware devices, network configurations, operations of software in HWIL facility, and basic networking principles.
- Experience with creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts, developing and maintaining configuration control documentation, and navigating through electrical schematics/diagrams.
- Certifications in CompTIA Network+ and or CompTIA Security+
