Sr. Workers' Compensation Analyst, Central California Network

Job Summary:

Administers the organization’s safety program for employees and provides backup support for the workers' compensation program by coordinating, facilitating, communicating, managing and educating on all aspects of safety, compensation, injury and modified duty to all levels of the organization.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's degree: Preferred
  • Five years' workers' compensation or employee safety experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures compliance with safety related federal, state and local laws and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and safety standards. Researches, writes and updates safety related policies and provides training on new or updated policies and procedures to all levels of the organization.
  • Performs diversified administrative and specialized functions for the leadership as needed, including legal research, analysis, recommendations for action and resolution of complex or sensitive situations and issues.
  • Conducts safety related training, safety audits and assessments and proactively seeks employee safety issues to correct and prevent injuries.
  • Evaluates information, provides recommendations, and interprets policy and procedure. Produces reports related to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) incident rate and workers' compensation and recordable injuries. Maintains Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) logs, employee injury spreadsheets, workers compensation files, and other safety related documentation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
