About the Role

The Associate Director Distribution Delivery System & Support supervises a team based in Chicopee, MA providing support to the operational, and reporting requirements for the distribution and delivery of The Wall Street Journal and Barron's print publications. This support includes interaction with subscribers, delivery contractors, and circulation managers. You will be responsible for delivery contractor, transportation, and United States Postal Service (USPS) payable processes. You will be based in Chicopee, Massachusetts reporting to SVP & General Manager, Print Group.

You Will:

• Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve organizational goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with the company's mission and vision.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor managers and department heads to ensure smooth operations. Establish performance goals and provide regular feedback to teams. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements. Streamline workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Communication and Prioritization: Maintain effective communication and prioritize issues with business and IT teams to resolve challenges efficiently. Work closely with Delivery, IT, Sales, and other business partners within and outside Dow Jones to meet strategic business objectives.
• Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

You Have:

• 10+ years of work experience in the newspaper circulation field with direct responsibility for data analysis and management, relational databases, reporting and managing people.
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, and COGNOS. A working knowledge of Newspaper Circulation systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to navigate in a fast paced data driven environment and effectively problem solve.
• Project management skills and demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Effective team leadership and management. The ability to delegate, mentor, and develop and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, and support change.
