General Summary:

The Business Analyst assists with the administration of the organization's continuous improvement (CI) efforts. Conducts reviews and inspections of internal processes and activities to monitor efficiency. Collects data and prepares documents and charts to report status of programs.  This position is tasked with planning and organizing specific performance metrics for continuous improvement events, conducting and assisting with continuous improvement events, assisting with measuring the achievements of the continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting with continuous improvement assessment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support the continuous improvement program initiative for all locations.  
  • Assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities and long-term improvement opportunities. 
  • Support and assist Continuous Improvement Manager during events and special projects. 
  • Measure and document progress towards meeting objectives related to lean processes and programs. 
  • Train on continuous improvement concepts and tools. 
  • Train in continuous improvement philosophy, tools and techniques and continuous improvement practices.  
  • Oversees formal and informal continuous improvement and operational best practices training. 
  • Develops infrastructure tools and supporting materials, including training to support the Company’s continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Employs Lean methodologies and tools to accomplish business objectives, including the following best practices: problem/goal definition, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and ongoing measurement 
  • Prepares, distributes & presents project status reports to team members and manager. 
  • Strives to continuously build own knowledge and skills

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  
  • Two or more years of progressive experience desired 
  • Continuous improvement program or similar training desired 
  • Continuous improvement implementation experience desired  
  • Training experience desired 

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment 
  • Up to (20%) travel required
