Sr Safety and Training Analyst

This position is responsible for the analysis, development and recommendations of various projects and responsible for supporting the environmental, health, safety, security and training program. The senior safety and training analyst takes a lead role in coordinating and participating in improvement initiatives and provides technical support in managing the business.

• Prepare and compile required compliance reports for corporate safety, security, training and compliance audits
• Prepare and compile required compliance reports of all environmental, health, safety, security and training procedures and plans ensuring they are current and being followed as designed
• Provides oversight in the development of all environmental, health, safety, security and training procedures, plans and auditing
• Maintain records in compliance with all regulations and training record retention
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) 
• Five or more years experience related to utility and/or business operations or equivalent
• Effective analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze data and to recommend appropriate course of action
• Planning skills to develop plans and forecasts and to manage and coordinate projects
• Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively present information and persuade opinion
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
