About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist – Medicine and Surgery provides care to patients in our medicine and surgery wards, frequently practicing under collaborative drug therapy management agreements. This includes care for a wide variety of hospitalized patients. Clinical pharmacists are preceptors for our large residency class and for students in our layered learning model. They also support operational/distributive pharmacy services. Our clinical pharmacists work 10-hour shifts (weekdays and every third weekend) which will be primarily days and evenings.

The Clinical Pharmacist has the responsibility for the provision of high-quality, individualized, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and integrated pharmacy operational  services in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patient's medication therapy outcomes and quality of life.

Required Qualifications: 

  • PharmD - Pharmacy Or Bachelor's Degree - Pharmacy. 
  • Oregon Pharmacist License upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Acute care hospital pharmacist experience, 1 year or equivalent experience
  • Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
