Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Architect with deep expertise in Public Sector Solutions (PSS) to lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce-based solutions for government and public service organizations.
- This role demands a strong understanding of public sector processes, compliance needs, and the Salesforce PSS framework, especially around Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections (LPI), Case Management, Grants Management and benefit management.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture:
- Design and document end-to-end Salesforce PSS architectures.
- Define data models, security models, integrations, and component design.
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and compliant solutions leveraging Salesforce core platform and PSS modules.
- Ensure alignment of Salesforce solutions with enterprise architecture standards.
Public Sector Solution Delivery:
- Leverage Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) for Licensing, Permitting & Inspections, Grants, Case Management and benefit management.
- Design workflows and process automation aligned with public sector regulations and best practices.
- Ensure solutions comply with government standards such as FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA.
Technical Leadership & Governance:
- Guide and mentor development teams and admins on best practices, configuration, and custom development.
- Perform technical reviews of solution designs and code.
- Own architectural decisions and represent architecture in stakeholder and steering committee meetings.
Integration & Data Management:
- Lead data migration, integration strategy and implementation using APIs, Middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and ETL tools.
- Define and enforce data governance, security models, and data access controls specific to public sector needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical requirements.
- Lead architecture discussions and provide expert guidance on Salesforce capabilities and limitations.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Salesforce experience, with 3+ years in an Architect role.
- Proven experience implementing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
- Deep expertise in at least two of Licensing, Permitting & Inspections (LPI), Case Management, Grants Management
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or Public Sector Solutions Accredited Professional.
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Platform Events. Strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and API integrations. Knowledge of Salesforce security/sharing model, GovCloud architecture, and public sector compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with state/local/federal government clients.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) for the public sector.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (Copado, Git), and Agile delivery. Working knowledge of GovTech platforms and legacy system modernization strategies.

- Ability to translate technical solutions into non-technical language for business audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
