Banyan Treatment Center (Clearbrook Treatment Center) is hiring a per diem Medical assistant. As a Medical assistant, he/she will provide a variety of technical, clerical, and patient care services under the supervision of nurses or medical practitioners.

As a Medical assistant, he/she will provide a variety of technical, clerical, and patient care services under the supervision of nurses or medical practitioners.
Responsibilities and Clinical Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as patient chart documentation
- Obtain patient vital signs & report significant findings
- Verify prescriptions
- Assist with patient examinations
- Take medical histories
- Explain treatment procedures to patients
- Prepare patients for examination
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Perform basic laboratory tests
- Instruct patients about medication and special diets
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by nurse/medical practitioner
- Transmit prescription refills as directed
- Draw blood
- Change wound dressings
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a medical setting
Job Type: Per diem - Flexible Schedule.
