Beverage Director 

We are inviting you to apply for our open Beverage Director position. In this position, you will work to achieve beverage sales volume and operating profit objectives across the resort. The main function of this role is to facilitate selling and up-sales, train, assist, and schedule staff, while improving guest satisfaction. You will report to the Food & Beverage Director. 

 

With this position, we do require a background of: 

• Previous management of a multi-outlet beverage program, with revenues over 5M. 

• Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and mocktails. 

• Experience in building crafted cocktails and operating drink machines. 

• Valid driver’s license and must be at least 21 years of age. 

• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class and state-certified proper food handling certification. 

• Minimum 5+ years beverage sales management experience and food service experience required; preferably in a large hotel (over 500 rooms) or successful chain/brand of food and beverage establishments, i.e., restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. 

• Strong computer skills, particularly with analyzing sales data, are helpful. 

• Word and Excel knowledge is required. 

 

Weekends, evenings, and holiday availability are a must. 

 

What You’ll Do 

• This person executes a corporate vision at a high level and does not create menus. 

• Collaborate with F&B teams to assess, improve, and implement the beverage sales strategy for their operations. 

• Ensure delivery of F&B revenue growth and margin enhancement throughout each Kalahari Resort outlet. 

• Ensure all beverages and related products are consistently prepared and served according to the outlet’s recipes, portioning, pouring, and serving standards. 

• Partner with targeted operations to ensure excellence in beverage management.
