Clinical Research Coordinator A

Erica Baller and the Baller Laboratory are recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator to assist investigators in conducting behavioral and multimodal neuroimaging research examining the relationship between psychiatric symptoms and brain disease in multiple sclerosis. The Baller Lab is a consultation-liaison psychiatry lab committed to improving care for patients with comorbid psychiatric and medical illnesses. Historically, most research in psychiatry has focused on studying medically healthy patients, leaving physicians with less guidance when caring for patients with complex medical needs. Our lab focuses on combining brain imaging, psychiatric evaluations, and medical informatics to better understand how physical illness impacts psychiatric health. Responsibilities will include assisting with: recruitment and acquisition of behavioral data via clinical and cognitive assessments; clinical phenotyping via electronic medical records; image analysis; maintenance of regulatory documents and correspondence. The lab works closely with colleagues in Neurology and Biostatistics. Opportunities for data analysis and clinical shadowing abound.

Qualifications

A BA/BS degree and 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The candidate must have a passion for science, superb interpersonal skills, and technical affinity. Preference for an educational background in Neuroscience/Psychology or Biology/Premed with plans to pursue a graduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, or medicine.
