Job Summary:
The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a Healthcare Principal Professional to serve as a strategic leader and subject matter expert in clinical operations, patient access, revenue cycle performance, and service line growth across a multi-site care environment. In close partnership with physician and administrative leadership, this role drives optimization of clinic and operating room utilization, expansion of clinical programs, and alignment of operational and financial performance.
The position leads the development and execution of operational strategies to improve patient flow, maximize provider productivity, and support sustainable growth. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the individual will drive complex, cross-functional initiatives while leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and improve clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic advisor to physician and administrative leadership, providing expert guidance on clinical operations, patient access, revenue cycle performance, and service line strategy
Lead and independently manage strategic, cross-functional initiatives to optimize clinical operations, patient access, and service line performance across outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and ambulatory surgery centers
Lead the planning and optimization of operating room block utilization and surgical scheduling across specialties and sites, aligning capacity with demand and organizational priorities
Analyze and synthesize complex clinical, operational, and financial data (e.g., utilization, referrals, productivity, revenue cycle) to inform strategy, influence decision-making, and drive performance improvement
Oversee the development and standardization of scheduling systems, provider templates, referral workflows, and operational processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the department
Partner with clinical, operational, and finance leadership to align operational strategies with quality, access, and financial performance goals, including monitoring key performance indicators and implementing improvement plans
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of new clinical programs, services, and care delivery models to support organizational growth and evolving patient care needs
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
