About The Team

The Communications team at Crunchyroll is a nimble group of publicists who love talking about anime, our brand, and the broader streaming entertainment industry. We’re storytellers and we connect our passionate fans to the content they love through thoughtful press around our fan-centric touchpoints (SVOD, theatrical, events, games, merchandise, and more). The Communications & PR Coordinator plays an integral role in the team’s communications operations and administration. Their primary responsibility is to support the VP of Communications and Director of Communications, along with other team members and consultants/agencies with all external Communications functions. This is a very important role on a growing team and will support all areas of our business. 

About You:

• Positive energy level and enthusiasm for the position. Must have the willingness to learn and improve

• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and prioritize
• Must be flexible to change, a creative thinker and problem solver, and accustomed to working in teams as well as a self-starting individual
• Ability to anticipate issues, be proactive and problem solve
• Excellent and professional communication skills (spoken and written)
• Familiar with anime, pop culture and current entertainment
• Adaptability
• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint or Keynote, Google Suite, Outlook and Internet
• Completed 4-year college degree
• Preferably 1-2 years of related experience

A day in the life of our Communications Coordinator:

• Assists with the management of news reporting for weekly company press as well as major campaigns
• Support in writing all materials, including press releases, alerts, highlights, corporate information, internal communications, pitches, etc.
• Coordinate program assets, including photography and video
• Help establish, manage and maintain the department’s press list, with a variety of verticals, as well as manage MuckRack PR database
• Coordinate awards calendar as well as submissions
• Support team with emerging international market publicity, including India, SE Asia and Canada
• Assist with presentations and strategies
• Assist in coordination of calendars and planning documents
• Help traffic incoming press inquiries
• Staff events and ‘Cons as needed
• Assist with press junkets as needed
• Assist with team finances, including purchase order creation, budget and expenses
• Perform other duties as requested
