Oncology Medical Science Liaison/Sr Medical Science Liaison - Washington DC

Typical Accountabilities 

• Establishes oneself as a trusted scientific advisor, peer, and expert by both internal collaborators and external HCPs (e.g. functions as an expert in response to scientific questions)  

• Synthesizes HCP insights from multiple HCP segments within a region and communicates with internal collaborators  

• Serves as point of reference for the integration of science into proposed business strategies, training, and resources 

• Synthesizes and integrates research, and summarizes findings, in a compelling narrative for various HCP segments  

• Builds strong collaboration with key collaborators across Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Development   

• Drives guideline sharing within and outside the organization, and helps apply them to work processes within Field Medical Affairs  

• Serves as a lead for clinical trials, research activities, and special projects 

• Coaches others team members to develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)  

• Supports team members’ creative and innovative ideas while recognizing others’ contribution to team/project success 

• Provides input on MSL training content, assists with MSL onboarding, and serves as a ‘buddy’ to new MSL hires 

• Lead MSLs in their responsibilities for congress scientific coverage and data synthesis support 

Essential 

• Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline 

• MSL experience preferred 

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering customer-related outcomes in targeted field/territory​ 

• Demonstrated ability to impact Medical Affairs and MSL strategies on a regional level
