Your New Role:

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a visionary Principal Architect to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation Consumer Data Spine. This internal role is pivotal to the success of our AdTech strategy, enabling high-fidelity identity resolution, clean room integrations, and privacy-compliant data activation across our digital and streaming platforms. Reporting directly to the VP of AdTech, this role will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and interoperable data infrastructure that supports targeted advertising, campaign insights, and audience measurement and attribution. 
 
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in identity data platforms, clean room technologies, and data governance, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions in complex media environments. 

 

Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Architect and lead the development of Converged AdTech’s new Consumer Data Spine, enabling unified identity resolution across millions of devices

  • Design and implement clean room infrastructure to support high-fidelity audience activation, measurement, and attribution with agency partners

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and privacy teams to ensure compliance with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, VPPA, and emerging regulations

  • Define and enforce architectural standards for data interoperability, scalability, and security across AdTech systems

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align data infrastructure with business goals for targeted advertising and campaign performance

  • Mentor engineering teams and contribute to the strategic roadmap for data platform capabilities

  • Deliver production-ready infrastructure supporting the launch of new audience solutions and advertiser integrations

Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • 15+ years of experience in data architecture, AdTech, or enterprise data platforms

  • Proven track record leading the design and implementation of large-scale identity resolution systems and data clean room infrastructure

  • Deep understanding of first- and third-party data strategies, audience targeting, campaign measurement, and attribution

  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations including CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and VPPA, with experience operationalizing compliant data systems

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Legal, and Privacy

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex data infrastructure projects under tight timelines (e.g., 3-month delivery cycles)

  • Expertise in data interoperability, API integrations, and scalable data pipelines

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring technical teams and influencing executive stakeholders

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
