Sr. Project Delivery Lead

Purpose and Scope:
The IT Project Delivery Lead role is responsible for overseeing the ideation, discovery, and delivery phases of IT projects within the organization. This role ensures that projects move seamlessly from initial concept to execution while engaging the necessary stakeholders and resources. The Project Delivery Lead manages both internal and external teams to ensure compliance with the company's standards and procedures, as well as proper onboarding and alignment with the project’s goals. This position requires close coordination with Project Managers, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure that timelines, risks, and deliverables are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ideation
  • Lead ideation efforts, documenting the package and defining roles for discovery.
  • Validate discovery hours and participate in kick-off discussions post-approval.
• Discovery
  • Collaborate with PMs on schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Oversee onboarding (security access, SOPs, vendor standards) and provide process training.
  • Lead analysis, gather requirements, provide BRD templates, and ensure sign-offs.
  • Identify risks and work with PMs on mitigation strategies.
  • Provide project delivery estimates and work with vendors on SOWs.
• Delivery
  • Refine project schedules with the PM and manage ongoing onboarding activities.
  • Ensure completion of analysis, BRDs, technical documents, and sign-offs.
  • Address delivery risks and manage stakeholder approvals on design documents.
  • Facilitate transition to support, ensuring Knowledge Transfer (KT) and Hypercare.
• Team Management
  • Approve hours, ensure deliverables are met, and manage vendor resources.
  • Maintain process compliance and review security access regularly.
• Quality Assurance
  • Conduct assessments to ensure coding standards, security, and reliability.
• Project Closure
  • Manage offboarding and ensure a smooth closure process.

Key Requirements:

• Prior experience in leading IT projects with a focus on ideation, discovery, and delivery phases.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including the ability to manage schedules, resources, and risks.
• Experience managing external vendors, including creating SOWs and ensuring contract compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and document business and technical requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, security protocols, and cloud architecture processes.
• Experience in overseeing system transitions, including training and onboarding new resources.
• Firm understanding of quality assurance standards and risk management strategies.
