Job Summary:

• This position will support the Health and Nutrition Services (HNS) Division to maximize participant access to nutrition, ensure meal service programs meet or exceed federal requirements, and advance opportunities to influence positive dietary behaviors among program participants. This will primarily be accomplished through the provision of excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations are followed for the onboarding and renewing of program operators. Additionally, the position will be responsible for maintaining multiple tracking logs and databases, verifying information on required forms, will occasionally process onboarding documentation for the programs as a backup to other staff, and daily assign Help Desk tickets and route emails from the HNS inbox
• Rare in-state and out-of-state travel may be required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties:


• Serve as a point of contact to connect inquiring customers with their assigned specialist and ensure professional, helpful, and timely communication is provided
• Convey formal correspondence to program operators clearly and concisely by phone, email, and HelpDesk
• Perform administrative support tasks for all child nutrition programs administered by the Health and Nutrition Services Division
• Order, maintain, and complete the " In Justice for All” poster requests
• Assists the specialists in ensuring communication with the field is completed
• Ensure data is entered into tracking databases and complete check-ins for completeness
• Ensure all updates needed for the provider manager are completed and communicated with the field
• Forward specific inquiries and requests to the intended recipient or assigned specialists for prompt application approval/denial
• Respond to phone and electronic inquiries on application status
• Attend staff meetings, special project meetings, and state-provided training sessions
• Use established communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and tracking databases to communicate project progress with specialists and supervisors; and take meeting notes as needed
• Conduct annual review of electronic entity files in SharePoint to ensure accuracy and completeness for all entities
• Work with the assigned specialist to promptly upload and tag all required documents to SharePoint
