About the role

The Site Warehouse Manager is responsible for all shipping, receiving and inventory management, as well as directly managing the personnel within these areas. The Warehouse Manager is the overarching owner of inventory accuracy. Responsibilities also include development and implementation of material management policies and procedures; storage, and flow of frozen, refrigerated, and dry inventory; leading inventory management practices within a manufacturing environment; and using systems to drive efficiency improvement. This leader must be able to suggest process improvements and strengthen communication channels with other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of materials flow.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team focused on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics to manage the timing of site inbound materials by leveraging proper software tools (Open Dock) and comply established Town by-laws (Truck Management).
  • Manage the receipt and storage of raw and finished goods materials for accuracy as well as allergen, species, and lot code segregation.
  • Supervise the organization of dry storage/coolers/freezer to GMP/SQF specifications.
  • Monitor trigger points and inventory thresholds to ensure on-time replenishment and minimal downtime.
  • Supervise the cycle count program to include evaluation of A, B, C classification on items to ensure above 98.5% accuracy.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant transfer documentation and execution within ERP. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERP in warehousing and production. Lead resolution, system testing, and training cross functionally for production and warehousing.
  • Own and maintain accurate ERP data inputs related to inventory, location binning, and material movements.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to troubleshoot and optimize system workflows.
  • Collaborate with scheduling team to assure storage capabilities for peak production scenarios.
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of material handling equipment.
  • Maintain current monthly racking inspection reports and communicate findings to EHS team.
  • Manage accuracy of outbound shipments to customers/outside warehouses to help support greater than 99.0% case fill rate and 98.5% order fill rate.
  • Ability to perform under very limited supervision with considerable latitude for independent action.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution, logistics or operations management
  • Knowledge of cycle counting principles and inventory management best practices
  • Experienced in directly managing, supervising, training, and motivating hourly personnel required.
  • Advanced computer skills include advanced use of our ERP system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems preferred
