Senior or Lead Financial Analyst (hyrbrid)

• We are open to hiring at either the Senior or Lead Financial Analyst level, depending on experience (salary band listed is for lead level)

• This will have a hybrid schedule, working 2 days/week in our Columbus, Ohio office location.

• This team is looking for someone with strong modeling experience across all three financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement).

Job Summary
Within Strategic Financial Planning, our goal is to help business partners across the organization understand the implications of business decisions by highlighting risks and opportunities to the company’s financial performance.  We stay aligned on the company’s external financial commitments to ensure we our able to deliver on our commitments.   We play an integral role in developing the annual 5-year plan in which we are responsible for modeling capital recovery through regulatory mechanisms at each of our operating companies, and the resulting impact to the organization.

Essential Functions

• Compiles, organizes and formats data, including qualitative analysis required for internal and external reporting. Identifies and researches reporting issues, provides recommendations, assists with the adoption of new reporting requirements. (Reporting)

• Recognizes situations where the regulatory framework and rate case outcomes drive our business; Supports regulatory initiatives by gathering data and preparing regulatory schedules and/or preparing pro-forma calculations, testimony and data requests; Assists with review and analysis of regulatory documents; Appreciates the application of the regulatory construct to our business. Required Qualifications For Position

• Requires four year degree in business discipline

• Four years or more experience in finance, accounting, regulatory or a related field

• Requires multiple functional experience

• Requires knowledge of PC applications

• Regulatory Finance Acumen - Understand how we make money and how changes to the financial statements flow through and impact customer bills and NI EPS.
