QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas Teacher certificate in Special Education/content certificate for certain assignments or eligible for employment through an Alternative Certification Program (ACP).
• Eligible ACP candidates must also meet ACP requirements and pass TExES examination(s) required for this position.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area
• Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee
• Process and IEP goal setting process and implementation
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
