Who we are
HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join the team. This position can be a remote opportunity and will require travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
- Oversee all phases of project management including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
- Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management stakeholders, escalate issues, as necessary. Provide regular project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards. Help develop process and procedures for project management work, workplace standards and related programs.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure the design aligns with project requirements, budget, and schedule. This includes reviewing designs, managing design changes, and ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
- Oversee all aspects of construction, including site management, contractor selection and management, quality control, safety protocols, and progress monitoring.
- Develop and manage the project budget, track expenses, monitor cost performance, and identify and mitigate cost overruns.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress against deadlines, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure everyone is informed, aligned, and working collaboratively.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including financial, schedule, safety, and quality risks.
- Establish and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the final product meets the highest standards.
What you need to have:
- 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
- 10+ years of project management experience.
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
- Proven success working with all levels of management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
