About the Job
Join Sovrn as a Senior Product Designer and be part of an international team dedicated to creating best-in-class SaaS business applications. You’ll be at the forefront of UI/UX design, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed user expectations.Your role will involve deep collaboration with cross-functional teams to research, design, and execute innovative solutions that shape the future of the online publishing industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design and execution of core products that form the foundation of the Sovrn publisher platform.
- Utilize Figma and other relevant tools to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and creative teams, maintaining organized files and presenting iterative work to colleagues and test users.
- Engage in product discovery alongside design and engineering teams, designing and testing prototypes.
- Implement rapid prototyping and user testing techniques to minimize investment risk and refine designs.
- Establish and manage feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders, using insights to guide product prioritization.
- Actively engage in agile ceremonies to ensure product delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
- Research market conditions and industry trends to inform and enhance product strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to position and message new products for successful go-to-market efforts.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- 7+ years of work experience designing UI and UX for software with a strong portfolio showcasing your best work.
- Experience leading design efforts for a suite of products or working on features that span multiple products.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools.
- Taking a product from concept to launch, proficient in all stages of the design process: researching, sketching, wireframing, user testing, refinement, prototyping, and development.
- A deep understanding of human centered design principles and are passionate about creating user friendly and intuitive interfaces to articulate design solutions confidently and stand behind your convictions.
- Experience mentoring and leading team members to achieve their best.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback gracefully. You can handle criticism professionally and use it to improve your work and the work of others.
- A commitment to creating beneficial workflows and systems for the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effectively communicating complex ideas.
- Extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams and leading them to success.
- Strong analytical skills to turn data insights into actionable design decisions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Bonus Points
- Ability to turn Figma files into functional code
- A background in consumer-facing analytics products
- Experience in Javascript programming
- Experience using AI LLM models such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT
- Demonstrable passion for great design
- Familiarity with the React framework and Google Material Guidelines
Location: This position is designated as hybrid, based in our Boulder, Colorado office. Applicants should be able to commute to our Boulder location as required. #LI-Hybrid
