About the role

Position Summary:

The FLC@Work Instructor provides career-relevant instruction to FLC students and/or regional community members, preparing them to meet current industry needs and enhance their career opportunities.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver curriculum and support learners/earners through the course 

  • Design and tailor curriculum to the course when applicable 

  • Attending trainings and pre-work as needed 

  • Collaborate with the appropriate FLC@Work representative(s) to ensure a smooth instructional experience 

  • Collect and report classroom data such as attendance, success stories, and opportunities for course improvement 

  • Collaborate with relevant FLC faculty to review curriculum and address instructional resources as needed 

  • Communicate with relevant regional industry representatives who have a vested interest in the content’s delivery and student outcomes 

  • Prepare students for relevant industry-recognized credential exams if the course aligns with such credential   

  • If the FLC@Work Instructor is developing new content, all curriculum is considered the intellectual property of the college and will be shared with the FLC@Work team.  

  • Provide feedback to FLC@Work team to support continuous improvement in our workforce development efforts 

Required Education, Specialized Skills, and Experience: 

  • 5 or more years of relevant industry experience

  • 2 or more years of equivalent experience in curriculum design and instruction

  • Proficiency in Office Suite, including Office 365, Word, Excel, and Outlook 

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Effective oral and written communication skills 

Compensation

The salary is $1,000 per month for this 5-month course
