Summary
Provides service, maintenance and repair work on light-duty vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision. Furnishes own hand tools.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Performs preventative maintenance services in conformance to manufacturer specifications
• Diagnoses, repairs, and order parts for light-duty vehicle and equipment systems
• Responds to roadside calls
• Conducts road and static test to verify repairs
• Delivers and picks up vehicles from outside vendors for repairs and services
• Maintains a clean and orderly shop
• Follows the city policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Four (4) years combination of education and experience as an Automotive Maintenance Technician
• Furnishes own hand tools

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Valid driver's license
• Internal Candidates
◦ EPA Section 609 Certification
◦ ASE A4 & A5
• External Candidates
◦ EPA Section 609 Certification within 6 months
◦ ASE A4 & A5 Certifications within 12 months
