This position is for a Shipping Clerk who is under direct supervision. Prepares necessary shipping documentation. Responds to basic to fairly complex customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services. Uses standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Shipping Clerk processes the LTL's to the floor
  • HD TMS routing
  • Freight charge report
  • PGI
  • Researching and clearing inventory left at doors
  • Assists warehouse associates
  • Process backorders
  • File documents
  • Check emptied and IB trailers
  • Remove Bin full blocks or empty bins
  • Update blocked bin report and Unblock
  • Process/Verify/Correct purchased product receipts
  • Research Open TOs
  • Works under direct supervision to provide assistance with managing inventory and movement of materials.
  • Prepares necessary shipping documentation.
  • Checks arriving materials to ensure they match purchase orders.
  • Handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.
  • Maintains and updates production and delivery schedules.
  • Responds to basic to fairly complex customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Tracks and traces goods while they are on route to their destinations.
  • Collects and compiles data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and other documents to assess supply needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in Shipping or Warehousing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent systems skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in ERP/MRP systems
