Senior CAD Drafter - Deer Park, TX

Turner Industries Group is looking for a CAD Drafter to join our nested maintenance team at a jobsite in the Deer Park, TX area. This position will be responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specification sheets for use in planning and construction at this site.

• CAD proficiency with 5 years experience required
• Responsible for FIELD measurement and verification/ sketching
• Must have a TWIC Card
• Ability to understand a process P&ID to verify measurements
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively - will coordinate with PEI
• Pass background check and drug screen

Functional Requirements

Plots maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines, and other structure; drafts detailed drawings of structures employing structural reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, wood and other structural material; produces plans and details of foundations, building frame, floor and roof framing and other structural elements; may accompany survey crew in field to locate grading markers or to collect data required for revision of drawings; performs additional assignments as required.

Qualifications:

• Five years of experience utilizing CAD software
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented
