We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This position will be filled as either an Environmental Compliance Coordinator or as a Senior Environmental Compliance Coordinator position.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures company’s compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at natural gas production and distribution facilities.
- Has responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the work site to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures.
- Serves as liaison with external and governmental agencies.
- Coordinates with and monitors operations and maintenance personnel, to ensure compliance with environmental, chemical safety, waste management, and permit rules and regulations.
- Inspects or assesses facilities and provides recommendations regarding compliance issues to management.
- Serves as primary site coordinator with internal department and external agencies on environmental or chemical management issues.
- Analyzes data and prepares regulatory reports.
- Procures services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental programs.
- Coordinates hazardous waste disposal.
- Collects samples of soil, water, waste materials for environmental analysis.
- Provides training to company personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, and for other environmental requirements.
- Evaluates new regulations and coordinates development and implementation of compliance plans.
- Responds to environmental emergencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job as an Environmental Compliance Coordinator include the following:
• Directly related experience and knowledge typically gained from Associate's degree plus 4 years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus at least 2 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements
• Ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans
• Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance
• Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking skills
• Analytical and records management skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Organizational skills and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in field environments
• Must be capable of responding to callouts afterhours, weekends and holidays

• Significant directly related experience and knowledge typically gained from Associate's degree plus 7 years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental permits
• Proven ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans and processes
• Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan r
