Job DetailsJob Location: Pima - Vascular OBL - Tucson, AZ 85718Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDJob Category: Other PositionsUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our vascular team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care. 

Responsibilities: 


Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients 
Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts. 
Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment 
Assists with wound care 
Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials 
Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests 
Screens telephone calls for physicians 
Returns patient phone calls 
Calls in patient prescriptions 
Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries 
Answers triage calls 
Travel required 
Other related duties may be assigned


Requirements:  


Completion of a Medical Assistant program
Cardiac Experience preferred but not required
Knowledge in medical terminology
