What Do We Need:

 

The clinical investigator will lead all aspects of product claims development and substantiation.  This work includes literature research, development and optimization of product claims, and identification of appropriate claims that substantiate Amway’s special product portfolio, that sets us apart in the marketplace. Additionally, the role oversees 3rd party testing, working closely with product development partners to deliver new and exciting products to market.

Merging science with our business needs, you will translate your research into a solution profile and story, as well as generate new insights and mechanisms of action or targets for technology exploration.  This requires distilling complex scientific and technical concepts into easy-to-understand language and themes, that creates a positive story for our Amway Business Owners (ABO’s) and consumers.  This role offers a daily dose of excitement and challenge developing, optimizing, and substantiating product claims for consumers in multiple global markets.   This role has a scope of involvement from early discovery (product and claims creation), through technical development and go to market product launch support.  You will work with a wide variety of global stakeholders that influence the future of our business.  Balancing collaboration with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment is vitally important at Amway. We currently designate 3 days, Tuesday-Thursday as onsite collaboration days and require onsite campus attendance on those days.

 

Required qualifications:

• MS or PhD desired in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or related scientific discipline
• Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in research and/or clinical investigation in beauty, skin care, personal care or home care industry

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

• Experience leading research & experimental methods, including data analysis and interpretation
• Experience in clinical studies design
• Talent to interpret scientific information, to end user, in easy-to-understand manner
• Interpersonal skills to influence and inspire both internal and external audiences
• Experience with Skincare and Nutrition helpful
