Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Under indirect supervision, the Telehealth Navigator assists patients in accessing and effectively utilizing telehealth services to improve health outcomes. This role involves providing education, troubleshooting technical issues, and addressing barriers to ensure a seamless telehealth experience. The Telehealth Navigator collaborates with healthcare providers to coordinate virtual care and supports patients through the process, ensuring they have the necessary resources and understanding to engage in their care remotely. The position engages community partners to promote telehealth accessibility and inclusion for underserved populations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in a related field, preferred.
Knowledge/Experience:
Three years’ experience in healthcare technology required
Strong knowledge of EPIC and MyChart, video conferencing tools and mobile apps is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to patients in an easy-to-understand manner.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered support.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Comfortable with a variety of digital tools and telehealth technology.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, appointments, and patient inquiries, effectively.
