About the role
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
As a System Dev Engineer, you will work with a wide variety of functional groups and will be involved in the design and implementation of software systems for phased array antennas validation and test, as well as overall system integration:
· Develop tools for characterizing antenna systems
· Support electrical bring-up and debug of prototype hardware
· Work closely with systems team to design and implement optimized validation and verification programs.
· Implement DSP firmware to map high-level algorithms from Matlab or C to architecture-specific code

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
- BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid fundamental CS / EE skill set with hands-on industry or university experience in embedded software development and knowledge of FPGA systems, GPIO/I2C/SPI and peripheral interfacing.
