Purpose

To conduct transportation-related research within the Center for Transportation Research (CTR) on emerging mobility technologies for use by government agencies, including local and regional Texas transportation agencies and the Texas Department of Transportation. This work includes managing a portfolio of projects that focus on implementing intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technology, including connected and automated vehicles.

Responsibilities

• To Lead in several technology-based projects. Work closely with other CTR researchers, TxDOT and other project sponsors, as well as Texas transportation agencies.

• Representing CTR at key forums, overseeing project meetings, conducting technology assessments, writing publications, and forming technical and policy recommendations for Texas transportation leadership.

• Developing grant applications, building a network of subject matter experts, and conducting data analysis in support of ITS projects.
