Job Description
Reports To: Senior Administrator, Hiring and Recruitment (or designee)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
School Classification: Classified
Pay Range: Range 4 ($33.51 - $43.72)
Work Schedule: 12 months
Location: Onsite and Remote Office
Position Summary: The senior specialist of hiring and recruitment, under the guidance of the Senior Administrator, Hiring and Recruitment, will support the Human Resources department by facilitating the hiring process, ensuring the proper tracking and knowledge of teacher credentialing, and supporting the mission, vision and core values of the school. Additional duties outlined in this job description serve and support the functions of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Recruitment and Selection

Proactively implements and tracks the recruitment, interview procedures, and hiring practices for all board-approved positions

Imparts and demonstrates the mission and vision of the school with all applicants throughout the steps of the recruitment and interview process

Facilitates and manages the recruitment efforts for all personnel

Places ads on job boards and other online recruitment sources for all job postings

Maintains a current including screening and tracking applications within the applicant tracking system

Researches and determines the eligibility of applicants

Schedules candidates and prepares materials for interviews

Tracks and updates employment processes and documentation for the Human Resources department

Facilitates teacher induction enrollment

Supports with innovative recruitment initiatives

Supports with job offers

Facilitates internal job fairs

Attends external job fairs

Supports the leadership team with keeping job descriptions current
Monitoring of Teacher Credentialing and Authorizations
-
Proactively tracks teacher credentials and authorizations
-
Maintains the student information system
-
Collaborates across departments to support in the CALPADS and CalSAAS reporting, ensuring school data on employment, credentialing and authorizations is accurate

Keeps current on Commission on Teacher Credentialing and California Department of Education requirements and regulations in terms of credentialing and teacher assignment

Supports certificated staff with keeping credentials current and valid

Communicates and supports staff with missing authorizations and clear credentials in order to meet assigned deadlines to maintain minimum eligibility for their position

Researches credentialing processes and supports teachers with credentialing questions as needed
Labor Relations

Support efforts to ensure the HR department and school are compliant within state and federal employment laws through research, investigations, and learning

Assists with keeping HR manuals, policies, and trainings current and updated
Preparation and Maintenance of the Human Resources Information System and School Databases
