Team mission

GetYourGuide is looking for a talented Communications Writer to join our in-house Creative Studio. Helping shape the voice of our brand for a global audience, you’ll get to partner with our Global Communications team to make our tone of voice come to life consistently across corporate, consumer, and policy communications. 

You'll develop engaging on-brand narratives on a daily basis across a range of formats, from press releases, to research reports, to LinkedIn posts, to keynote speeches. You'll act as both a strategic and storytelling thought partner to the Global Communications team, while writing and producing both ad-hoc and longer-term projects. 

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a native-level of fluency in English, and the ability to translate business objectives into best-in-class narratives. You should feel just as comfortable crafting press releases and external facing posts, as you are at crafting narratives, messaging, and tone guidance for leadership. Working closely with the Creative Lead for Copy and Narrative, the Head of Corporate Communications, and our Global Communications team, you'll help uplevel the quality and impact of our writing by setting high standards, staging smart tests, and learning over time.

Your mission

  • Drive narrative excellence as the primary Global Communications writer.
  • Ability to write across multiple formats, be it social media, such as LinkedIn, research reports, and keynote speeches. 
  • Comfortable crafting stories from charts and numbers to help us level up data stories.
  • Comfortable working across multiple topics, ranging from local economic impact stories to AI-driven messaging.
  • Ability to manage a freelance pool of writers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the Global Communications team.
  • Test and implement AI to generate writing at scale, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Work closely with user research and marketing teams to create clear and consistent messaging.
  • Take responsibility for crafting engaging, structurally correct, and on-brief copy that influences various types of readers.
  • Develop and communicate our brand both externally and internally.

Your toolkit

  • 4+ years of experience as a writer or journalist 
  • Native English fluency as a writer with strong communication skills, with a flair for long and mid-form formats. 
  • Ability to review and edit corporate materials, including policies, to ensure they match both Messaging House and our Creative Platform. 
  • Strong ability to conduct interviews and extract key insights from them
  • Experience with Corporate Communications, with an interest in developing systems and infrastructure. 
  • Ability to contribute to and champion unified marketing copy standards for GetYourGuide whilst understanding how they adapt on a channel-by-channel basis.
  • Ability to engage audiences with thoughtful and inspiring writing.
  • Very organized, driven, and not afraid to take ownership.
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
