About the role

Purpose of the Position:

The Engineering Management Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Engineering Management Program.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the Engineering Management program.
• Answer student questions and advise on courses and provide guidance on graduate school, and departmental policies. This involves knowing the rules and expectations of the program.
• Manage admissions, files, programs of study (POS), graduate school paperwork for all Engineering Management (EM) graduate studies.
• Complete POS and other forms for students in the program regarding exams and registration.
• Process hiring for the Engineering Management (EM) graduate students as well as part-time faculty.
• Enter eLabor for EM students and faculty.
• Monitor budget, payroll, labor and departmental expenses for the EM program.
• Manage purchasing and account payments with requisitions for EM program.
• Manage Pcard purchases and related allocation for EM program.
• Processe full-time faculty recruitment paperwork and makes arrangements for interviews for EM program.
• Prepares and tracks travel documents and reimbursements for EM program.
• Track student progress and provide information to faculty, chair and employer when students are not making sufficient progress toward their degree.
• Manage admissions, files, programs of study, graduate school paperwork for all EM graduate students.
• Communicate with the local community to ensure that students are being informed and enter the program as well as employers to ensure that graduates have the skill necessary to be competitive.
• Manages calendars for EM program.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma
• 1 -3 years of full-time verifiable secretarial or administrative work experience
• Must have basic knowledge of accounting
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree preferred
• 3 years experience
• Knowledge and experience with SCT Banner
• University experience is strongly preferred

Published Salary (if available):

$37,000 - $40,000
