DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information/trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Closes new accounts by responding to multiple forms of communication which could be but not limited to, telephone, and e-mail inquiries. Noting all critical information and verifying and aligning Winpak’s competencies and open capacities.
- Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating the expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs.
- Develops accounts by reviewing and understanding clients buying history, suggests related and new items, and explains technical features.
- Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Screens potential account inquiries for Area Sales Managers
PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Inside – R&D, Technical, Customer Service, Market Directors, Directors of Business Development, Product Managers, Operations and Quality Leadership and team members
Outside – Clients and their associates inclusive of co-packing or third party partners.
MAIN CHALLENGE OF THIS POSITION
Penetration into the active and potential Regional Accounts
WORKING CONDITIONS
The Position requires a work-from-home and work from office responsibility. Some travel may be required to Winpak business units and customer places of business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field experience an asset.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of selling experience.
- 3 plus years experience in packaging (technical or commercial)
Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business within large Accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proven track record of working to KPIs and achieving targets.
- Strong Microsoft Office skillset a must
- Enthusiastic team player and self-starter.
- Ability to prioritize time and focus on key and critical business activities.
- A valid drivers license.
- Must be able to travel within Canada, the US and Mexico.
