Position Summary

The Global Medical Oncology, Medical Communications team is seeking a motivated and collaborative summer intern to support a dynamic portfolio of projects. This role offers exposure to multiple facets of medical communications, including publication planning and execution, assisting with medical education, and supporting the Promotional Review Process (PReP) team.

This intern should excel in balancing competing priorities and deadlines and will need to be a highly organized and detail-oriented professional. This role reports into the Director, Medical Communications Hematology.

This internship is from June 1-August 7, 2026.

This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS.

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is up to $35/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project support across Medical Communications, PReP, and Medical Education teams

  • Assist in organizing and formatting medical communication deliverables such as slide decks, FAQs, and other materials for internal and external use

  • Help compile and analyze outcomes data from educational activities and prepare summary reports

  • Explore and pilot AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency in medical communications workflows and report on use cases and outcomes

  • Support working groups, workstream and initiatives with deliverables and other requirements

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve process-related issues and keep stakeholders informed


Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Business (graduating Fall 2026 and beyond), with interest in science and / or pharmaceuticals

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment.  Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required   

  • Able to drive decisions and outcomes  

  • Time and priority management capabilities

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are required  

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite 

  • Ability to work independently and effectively and enjoys the challenge of working in a complex environment
