(Senior) AI Engineer, Predictive Claims Analytics Team (Helsinki/Oulu)

As an AI Engineer at OP Pohjola, you will get to do exactly this! We are now looking for an (Senior) AI Engineer to join our Predictive Claims Analytics team in a permanent role in Helsinki with hybrid work options.

 
Our team works to streamline and enhance the claims handling process, leveraging the latest technologies in AI- and machine-learning-based solutions. We are responsible for utilizing data and technology to advance analytics and automation in claims processes and improve the quality of the data that supports these processes. 

A few words about the job

 

In this role, you will contribute to the development of the overall claims analytics domain. As an AI Engineer, you will take responsibility for part of this area and work alongside an end-to-end capable team that provides support across all phases of analytics development.

You will participate in building modern cloud-based data pipelines and the analytics solutions that depend on them. You will also contribute to building long-term roadmaps and vision for analytics products and influence AI solution architecture and technical decisions. In this AI Engineer role, you will ensure the team’s AI solutions are effective, scalable, and reliable, and help create metrics and processes that ensure data quality and operational excellence.

What we expect from you?

 

We are looking for someone experienced in data and analytics development as well as related software engineering. You understand what it takes to build data/AI products—for example, data pipelines, databases, and APIs. We do not require a specific educational or professional background; the overall experience matters most. For example, you may have worked previously as a Data Engineer, Developer, or Data Scientist.

 

We expect/hope for: 

 

• A Master’s-level degree in a relevant field 
• Several years of experience in similar or relevant roles 
• Strong expertise in Azure data development and cloud platforms in general 
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python 
• Experience with key technologies such as Databricks, Power BI, PySpark, and SQL 
• Ability to take responsibility for production AI products and develop production-level DevOps/MLOps practices 
• Ability to contribute to long-term AI product roadmaps and vision 
• Willingness to learn new things and develop your skills 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English 
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical matters to stakeholders 
• Experience using AI to improve software development productivity 
• Experience with agile methodologies
