We are currently seeking a Global Demand Planning Manager who will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the demand planning function to ensure the efficient and effective flow of products from suppliers to customers. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing demand planning strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and utilizing advanced forecasting tools and methodologies to drive accuracy and efficiency in our supply chain operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Develop and Implement Demand Planning Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive demand planning strategies that align with organizational goals and market demands.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor an international team of demand planners, providing guidance, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
- Advanced Forecasting and Trend Analysis: Utilize advanced forecasting tools and methodologies to create accurate demand forecasts and inventory plans. Monitor and analyze demand trends, market conditions, and customer feedback to make informed adjustments to demand plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to gather and analyze data for demand planning purposes, ensuring cohesive and aligned strategies.
- System Implementation and Maintenance: Implement and maintain demand planning software and systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency, driving technological advancements in the planning process.
- Inventory Management and Continuous Improvement: Develop and manage inventory policies, including safety stock levels and reorder points. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce forecast errors and optimize inventory levels.
- Reporting, Analysis, and Risk Mitigation: Prepare and present regular reports and analyses to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights. Identify and mitigate risks related to demand planning and supply chain disruptions, ensuring robust and resilient planning processes.
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree with 9 years or Masters degree with 7 years in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field, with leadership responsibilities.
- Proficient in using analytical tools and techniques to develop precise demand forecasts, enabling effective inventory management and strategic decision-making
- Proven track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Agile change management skills to drive and manage organizational changes while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
- Complex problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience managing remote international team
- Knowledge of life sciences industry trends and market dynamics is a plus.
- Certification in APICS, CPIM, or related supply chain certifications is preferred.
