Associate Price Reporter, Minerals & Fertilizer
The Team
The Minerals & Fertilizer price reporting team is the world’s leading Price Reporting Agency (PRA) and provider of market information on a diverse range of markets.
Responsibilities and Impact
The global Minerals & Fertilizer team publishes more than 300 price assessments, many of which are used as benchmarks by the market for trade negotiations and physical contracts. The successful candidate will work as a market reporter, publishing news, commentary and price assessments, as well as identifying and implementing ways of improving our coverage of the market.
Reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly developments in the Minerals & Fertilizer markets, which include nitrogen (ammonia, urea, nitrates), PKS (phosphates, potash, sulphur and sulphuric acid) and cement
Publishing timely and accurately-assessed price assessments, using S&P’s public methodology and specifications
Engaging with the industry both virtually and in person, representing the business externally and seeking industry feedback on how our content is used and how it can be improved
Proposing and implementing improvements to our market coverage, whether through proposing changes to our price assessments suite, or expanding our range of commentaries and written news coverage
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $87,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, economics, communications, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse roles and personalities, both internally and externally.
Self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform well under tight deadlines.
Exceptional English speaking and writing skills.
Global mindset with cultural and social sensitivity.
Intellectual curiosity about market and industry dynamics.

Exceptional time management skills, as this role involves managing multiple deadlines for different processes
Personal resilience, as the fast-paced and public-facing nature of this role means that it involves a degree of pressure which the successful candidate must be able to manage
Adaptability
Exceptional working level of English: the international Minerals & Fertilizer markets typically work using English, and the successful candidate will write widely-read news content in English on an almost daily basis.
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese and other relevant modern languages strongly preferred
