2025 Summer Intern - IT Security Defense Administration

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a 2025 Summer Intern - IT Security Defense Administration to join our growing team. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The JELD-WEN Summer Internship Program empowers talented undergraduate students to gain real-world working experience and professional development in one of six potential business areas. This position is focused on the Information Technology: Security business area. The internship program includes meaningful projects and challenging work assignments geared at developing professional competencies and skills in a chosen discipline. Additionally, throughout the summer internship, participants will have the opportunity for professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help enhance future leadership.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO        

In the past, our interns have had the opportunity to:

• Assist in developing and deploying AI-powered security systems that analyze patterns in network traffic and user behavior to detect and mitigate potential threats in real-time
• Support the development of Internet of Things/Operational Technology (IoT/OT) security frameworks, ensuring that devices across the network are secured and that data transmitted from IoT/OT devices is encrypted and properly authenticated
• Assist with monitoring IoT/OT networks for unusual activity and applying security patches to vulnerable devices to mitigate potential attack surfaces
• Support deployment of IoT/OT vulnerability and security solution across JELDWEN enterprise
• Support development of KPI driven progress reports

SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Currently enrolled rising junior or senior students majoring in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related major 
• Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation and organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and work to a high caliber while demonstrating attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Relevant completed coursework

Recommended:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT) security frameworks
• Leadership experience and relationship-building skills
• Relevant internship or previous work experience.
