Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.</p><p></p><p><b>Senior Frontend Engineer</b></p><p>The Genesys Digital &amp; AI group plays a pivotal role in providing the innovations that enable global brands (over 7,500 organizations in 100+ countries) to orchestrate customer experiences across all communication and engagement channels. User experience is core to everything we do. As a senior frontend engineer in our customer-oriented group, you will design and build UIs and visualisations that present the results of machine learning and data analytics in an intuitive, relatable manner, helping Genesys customers solve their real-world, complex customer experience problems. You will work alongside accomplished engineers, researchers, designers, and product managers who will help take your impact to the next level. We do not take ourselves too seriously and we do everything we can to iterate rapidly and deliver valuable features to as many customers as possible.</p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Design and develop robust, testable software to implement key insights and analytics features in a <span>full-stack/stream-aligned</span> team.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with User Experience Design, Product Management and Backend Engineering colleagues to ensure the best possible customer experience for users of our products.</p></li><li><p>Apply a testing-first mindset to ensure reliability and scalability of our applications.</p></li><li><p>Work with Genesys Cloud REST APIs.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with team members across roles to share knowledge, solve complex challenges, and innovate continuously.</p></li><li><p>Learn about and implement emerging technologies.</p></li><li><p>Mentor junior team members and set technical direction for all things UI.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We're Looking For:</b></p><ul><li><p>Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines. However, this is not a hard requirement as we recognise there are many diverse paths into software careers.</p></li><li><p>Curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Typescript or modern ECMAScript.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience with a modern web application framework, e.g. Angular, React, Vue.</p></li><li><p>Experience utilising browser JS APIs (e.g. DOM, postMessage, localStorage, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of cloud concepts and system architecture.</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience delivering UX-driven designs.</p></li><li><p>4+ years in software development, with 2+ years in frontend.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desirable Experience or an Interest in Learning:</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in visualisation concepts and frameworks (e.g. D3, Vega, HighCharts, etc.) will be a huge plus.</p></li><li><p>Implementation of accessibility standards and testing techniques.</p></li><li><p>Automated UI testing with Playwright, Jest, Selenium, etc.</p></li><li><p>Building UIs with web components.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.</p></li><li><p>Continuous integration/delivery practices.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Our team includes people of all genders and a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.
