JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of General Internal Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a qualified candidate as a Research Project Manager for the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH), a new five-year CDC-funded program consisting of multiple projects and collaborative partnerships focused on improving health outcomes at a community level. Specifically, this position will be responsible for implementing and evaluating locally tailored practice- and evidence-based strategies related to increasing awareness, confidence, demand, and access to routinely recommended adult vaccines, for racial and ethnic groups experiencing disparities in immunization, including uninsured adults in the Hispanic and Latino communities of Berks, Dauphin, Lebanon, and York counties. In addition, the candidate will assist with project operations for Penn State Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH). Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented, produce high-quality work, communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, and participate in and support team decisions and team responsibilities.
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing and tracking study milestones to ensure projects stay on time and on budget
- Scheduling, coordinating, and conducting conference calls, webinars, meetings, and training sessions
- Participating in the development, design, and coordination of materials for the project
- Managing all project documentation and records and;
- Serving as a liaison to internal departments and external entities
This position will also assist with the preparation and submission of Internal Review Board documentation and the creation of data collection instruments in REDCap.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual candidates are preferred. This position does require travel to Berks, Dauphin, Lebanon, and York counties.
This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
