The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Design & Applications (MDA) business area is leading efforts to transform computing, combining the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop revolutionary energy-efficient computing systems. You will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of and engineers to make these next generation processing solutions a reality.
We are seeking motivated and experienced RF engineers to join our team of simulation and materials experts in support of the design and layout of custom, low-power, low-temperature, RF, analog and mixed signal ASICs. Selected candidates will support Northrop Grumman’s Superconducting ASIC Design, Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) Foundry, Electromagnetic Simulation, and RF Packaging teams. Selected candidates will build upon their previous silicon wafer fabrication, materials science, and/or EM single/multi-port circuit modeling experience to preform circuit simulation, liaison between Fabrication and EM Simulation teams about silicon materials to improve simulation practice fidelity and knowledge base. The best candidates will be self-driven, motivated by success, and have a strong desire to learn the MDA BA’s fabrication and simulation processes.
What You’ll Get to Do
Tasks will include some or all the following:
- Manage, enhance, and maintain high frequency simulation and Multiphysics software tools such as ANSYS, ADS, COMSOL, etc.
- Coordinate between teams and programs to identify problems and provide solutions.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and other team members to develop, document, and propagate best practices.
- Research novel simulation techniques and implement improvements to current simulation practices and tools.
- Perform model validation on simulations completed by other team members.
