The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is a Level IV, state-of-the-art 17-bed intensive care unit designed to care for newborns with the most complex medical problems. Our dedicated and highly trained caregivers deliver world-class patient care through an intricate nursing care model that is rooted in evidence-based practice and always puts patients first. Our goal is that all our caregivers provide patients with the highest quality, safest care possible.
A caregiver in this position works day/evening rotation| full-time| 2-8s and 2-12s per week| every other weekend| 7:00am – 3:30pm/7:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide patient care under the direction of an RN.
Assist with data collection and treatments.
Perform administrative functions for the unit.
Observe and report changes in patients’ condition.
Document activities in the patient care record.
Assist with transporting and discharging patients.
Transcribe and process all orders.
Prepare, maintain and process all charts, filed, records and mail.
Maintain inventory.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
A High School diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (required within new hire period)
Nursing students requires to have Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross prior to hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Completion of a medical assisting
